Newcomer women can make appointments on Fridays for Resume Critique and Interview Readiness by contacting Abena at abena@afrowyf.org or call 905-955-8667

We offer resume critique, interview readiness and free shopping at our clothing bank for interviews. We also provide support to Newcomers exploring  small businesses and when the project allows, we offer small business grants.

We offer public awareness, education and advocacy on GBV. We believe that GBV is a community issue and we are taking a community approach to end it. Immigrant women and everyone who is interested in ending violence against women are welcome to join us in spreading awareness, ending stigma and fostering a supporting community that is culturally responsive and respectful.

We join the 16 Days of Activism Campaign every year to create awareness and education on GBV through community events, virtual workshops and resource sharing. We continue to spread awareness and education through our day-to-day work at AWYF and we offer support and make referrals when it is needed.

Our trained GBV counsellor provides counselling on Fridays. Appointments can be booked by sending an email to info@afrowyf.org or call 905-955-8667. In an emergency situation, please call 911.
